Most of the traders starting with forex will not start with more 2000 USD. As you probably know, majority of them will fail within few months.
Just a couple of years ago, traders starting with small capital were almost always doomed to lose.
Even if they traded with excellence, profits on such a small capital will hardly change anyones life. Their only option was to trade with extreme aggression.
Today, it has changed. There are two categories of traders that are consistently managing to turn small capital into the small fortune.
So who are the people beating these odds and making it big with small account ? How do they do it? Let's look at those two archetypes of traders:
Aggression: The disciplined gambler.

Disciplined gambler is also smart and often good in math. This type of market speculant will use almost any trading strategy in aggressive fashion often with the twist (exotic, original solution).
-
This type of trader will often use averaging to steadily grow his account without accepting loss (or doing so rarely).
-
He will also use adding to the winner (pyramiding). In this case, he will try his best to hit that jackpot trade before he runs out of the money.
-
Another commonly seen trait is using high probability scalping without accepting the loss (or he will deal with it in a creative way).
-
Aggressive gird systems are also commonly used.
-
Generally this trader will use any combination of those methods and any trick in the book, with creativity and always with extreme aggression.

More often than not, those traders succeed when using automated trading (most of those methods are simply too complex to be ever traded by human).
All those systems have one more thing in common:
They are hoping to extend their winning streak for months or years. Enough to make them rich. They are racing against time because when the loss comes, it is usually big enough to wipe out the months/years of effort and hope.
It needs to be said, there is nothing wrong with this type of speculation. When you start with small capital, there not much lower to go, only so much to gain.
It is simply another look at risk reward ratio. Relatively cheap lottery ticket with good chances that speculant has some control over.
However there is a thin line between gambling with blind hope and calculated, aggressive speculation. Often times, lines become blurred. And this happens to even the most disciplined and knowledgeable market participants.
Steady. Patient. Conservative: Looking to get big investors in the future.

First of all this trader is OK with the fact that he might not make any kind of money soon. This trader is really looking to make a FOREX trading his career.

-
In general, this steady, patient man will be looking to build impressive live trading history, attractive to investors.
-
He knows that big investors are usually not interested in aggressive systems. If he manages to add steady 5 percent to his account monthly, while controlling the draw down. He will be golden in 6 to 24 months.
-
Trader will use conservative trading strategy with low aggression. Most brokers will not like him too much, because he doesn't trade too often and therefore doesn't generate a lot of commission (yet).
-
He will threat his 1000 USD account like it was 1 000 0000 USD from the get go.
-
There are no traders made on his account that are outside of his rules (unless the system allow this type of intervention).
-
This type of trader must be inherently extremely disciplined. He can't really afford any mistakes. The discipline must be also sustained for long period of time without detoriation. Deviations from the plan can not be tolerated. Lapses in discipline cannot be tolerated.
-
Therefore, this type trader is also more likely to succeed with automated trading system as his trading style requires immense focus.
-
He often runs multitude trading systems simultaneously. Creating good trading history takes time. If anything fails he doesn't have to start from the blank all over again.
If the trader has investors in his mind. From the get go he should trade with the broker (platform) that integrates investors. It is technically difficult to manage capital with broker that doesn't have a suitable platform.

Custom solution may get quite expensive, not protecting intellectual property (trades can be resold) and are often influenced by the slippage.
Currently there are options for trader looking for the investors, meeting all those hard criteria.
For the first time in trading history. Independent, undercapitalised trader has some fighting chance in forex market.
